Built, and deliberately not published
A corporate site for a Queensland high-voltage contractor, finished in ten days and then held with the DNS unpointed, because the licence its claims depend on had not landed.

Everything a contractor site says about what it can do is a regulated claim. In Queensland, electrical work is licensed, and a site that implies you hold a licence you have not yet been granted is a problem that no amount of careful wording fixes.
So the site was built, finished, reviewed against a written set of capability rules about what may and may not be claimed before the licence lands, and then the DNS was left unpointed.
Building something and holding it looks like waste. It is not. The alternative is publishing and retracting, which costs more, and which a regulator or a competitor gets to screenshot. The work is done and the switch is a five-minute change on the day the licence arrives.
There is a general version of this for any regulated trade: write the capability rules before the copy, not after. It is much easier to write a page that stays inside the line than to audit one that did not.
